Important Notice for Truckers: IRS Closure from December 26, 2024, to January 10, 2025
Attention truckers and fleet operators: The IRS will be closed from December 26, 2024, to January 10, 2025, for routine maintenance and system updates. As a result, Heavy Vehicle Use Tax (HVUT) filings processing, including Schedule 1 of Form 2290 issuance, will be suspended during that time. It's an annual closure by the IRS for them to prepare their systems for the ensuing tax season. This can sometimes cause minor delays, and we just want to re-assure you that our e-filing site is fully open for your service.
You are well within your rights to file Form 2290 through e-filing with us while the IRS is closed during this period. Our platform is designed with the concept of seamless e-filing. You do not face an interruption to file HVUT. The IRS shall not process your returns neither give you a Schedule 1 during the closure time; however, your document shall be queued and it shall automatically be processed once its systems reopen on January 10, 2025. Filing in advance helps you prevent the last-minute rush and allow all the documents to go well once the IRS resumes operations again.
We know how much you want to have your Schedule 1 on time for vehicle registration and other compliance requirements. That is why we are here to support you through this period. If you have any questions or need help with your Form 2290 filing, our customer support team is here to help. Don't let the IRS closure delay your preparations—e-file with us today and stay ahead of the game!
